Abstract

This article summarizes the chemistry of the above pyrrolotriazole systems, covering the literature from the early 1970s to the early 2020s. Emphasis is placed on preparative aspects. Ring-fused derivatives of A–C are considered as well, except for benzo-fused examples (i.e. triazoloindoles and -isoindoles) that will be reviewed separately. Theoretical work, e.g. on annular tautomerism, is dealt with in addition.
