Synthesis of 3,4-dihydro-5H-1-thia-3,5,6,8-tetraazaacenaphthylenes

Abstract

Reaction of ethyl 5-amino-4-(substituted amino) -2-methylthiothieno[2, 3-d]pyrimidne-6-carboarytates with formaldehyde in the presence of hydrochloric acid resulted in the synthesis of the corresponding ethyl 3, 4-dihydro-7-methylthio-5H-1-thia-3,5,6,8-tetraazaacenaphthylene-2-carboxylates, which are examples of a new heterocyclic system.
