Abstract

Nitrosation of (6-methyl-2-methylsulfanyl-4-oxo-3,4-dihydro-3-pyrimidinyl)acetic acid hydrazide using sodium nitrite in acid medium gave the corresponding azide. Reaction of the latter with alcohols or phenols gave carbamates and with amines gave carbamides.
