Abstract

Condensation of 2-cyanomethylbenzoic acid with anthranilic acids gave a series of 2-(4-oxo-3,4-dihydro-2-quinazolinylmethyl)benzoic acids which are structural analogs of the alkaloid glycosminine (2-benzyl-1,2-dihydro-4-quinazolone).
